In 1991, the great Japanese conglomerate, Kyocera created a revolutionary product that would soon become a worldwide staple: the ceramic knife. Market research showed that many consumers were unhappy with the limited lifespan of the sharpness of their knives. Kyocera saw an unattended demand and capitalized on it. Combining market reaserch and Japanese technology, Kyocera launched a product, superior to most existing products available in the marketplace in the ceramic knife, a product that included a sharpness lifetime guarantee. In most cases, ceramic knives have a sharpness that lasts 10 times longer than those commonly found in similar steel knives, Kyocera created a product that stood the test of time, quickly attracting many consumers and competitors alike, including Kimura.

A few years ago Kimura launched its own line of ceramic knives, providing not only a product that demonstrated incredible performance, but with the addition of colorful and vibrant designs, these knives were also aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Our target buyers are young-spirited, independent, and modern consumers that demand their products not only perform well, but look good while doing it. We don’t pretend to be Kyocera, we are not, but in Kimura you will find great cutting knives, that will remain sharp for years, adding beauty and appeal to the home décor of any kitchen.

The Kimura brand has transformed and grown over the years, expanding its core business of ceramic knives, into other segments of kitchenware categories, focusing on the developing ceramic kitchenware market. We currently offer a full line of cookware and bakeware products produced with high quality, environmentally friendly, non-stick ceramic coating. We pride ourselves on maintaining the same high quality standards for our cookware products that customers have come to expect from our knives.
